Bethsaida
This was an interesting find. Bethsaida is the oldest preserved city of biblical history that has been found. Bethsaida dates back to King David's time. It was a city full of idolatry. There is some kind of fertility god statue at the city gate that still sits there today.
This little village sits up the hillside from Capernaum. We found it extremely interesting that the rock in Northern Israel is black as opposed to the ivory and buff colors of Jerusalem.
