Capernaum

Yeshua's family left Nazareth and settled in Capernaum.  This was His hometown...His neighborhood... where He played as a child, where He worked as an adult and where He began His ministry.  Unfortunately, this city, along with a few others, did not repent and accept who He was or His message.  Yeshua said it will be better for Sodom and Gomorra on the day of judgment than Capernaum, Bethsaida and Corazon.

They have found and excavated many ruins at Capernaum...even supposedly, Peter's house where Yeshua healed Peter's mother in law.  Capernaum is on the northern end of the Sea of Galilee and Tiberias is just across the western shore.  It is a beautiful little village with Bethsaida to the north and Corazon to the East.

Lots of Roman architectural finds.  If only I had a means to ship.   The largest structure with columns is the synagogue.  Yeshua taught here.  The last pictures are of Peter's house.
