This post has no pictures because they weren't allowed. We toured the Temple Institute today. They are the group actively working on the vestments for a 3rd temple. I am of the ilk that believes their work is in vain; there will not be a 3rd temple. Any scriptures that describe such, are actually talking about the Body of Messiah as we are now the Temple. In fact, in Rev, while the antichrist does set himself up as god, do you think he will not be in the holy of holies? Yet, the prophesy is that only the outer court is given over.
Back to our tour. This group has interpreted scripture, or some rabbi somewhere has, to claim precise knowledge of the hand washing area, the altar, the menorah, the altar of incense with the special formula, etc. We were in a room of about 30-40 people, a lot of them Jewish. I could not help myself and had to ask the guide, "do you believe Moses had to guess what this looked like or it's dimensions?". The answer was no, Moses was told exactly. So I responded, "then why do you think it is okay for us to guess at it?" Well that didn't go over so well.
If you'll recall, Aaron's sons brought strange fire (altered the incense somehow) and were incinerated for it. Just how does this group claim to know the exact formula and who is going to light the incense to make sure? My thoughts are that they need to make those arrogant rabbis who came up with this nonsense, light the first fire........then we'll see what happens.
Anyway, we didn't stay for the whole tour. Couldn't take anymore of people's nonsense who must have missed the "fear YHVH" message in the bible.
